2013 JORC Qualifier dates: Friday-Sunday December 14, 15, & 16 2012
This year the JORC matches will be sponsored by Tannana Valley Rifle and Pistol Club and held the weekend of December 14-16th.
Thanks to Coach Dan Jordan and the University of Alaska Fairbanks, the matches will again be held at the E.F. Horton Range, the most state of the art range in Alaska.
Coaches Trish and Greg Yocum strongly encourage our team members to sign up EARLY since the matches fill up quickly. This is a wonderful opportunity, shooters from across the state will come to Fairbanks for the competition. All our students are eligible and encouraged to enter the match. Students who shoot certain scores (see JORC Program) at this match are automatically qualified and will receive an invitation to go to the Olympic Shooting Complex in Colorado for the National Competition in April. Students who shoot the state qualifier score will most likely be able to qualify and go. It's a great experience for the shooters to participate in an event where they'll also be shooting with Division 1 UAF Rifle team members.
These matches are on a first come, first serve basis to range capacity and open to all junior shooters born in 1993 or later who are current members of USA Shooting. Anyone can go online to renew memberships or sign up to be a member at Become a Member. We will have application forms at the match but USA Shooting has requested everyone to sign up in advance online if possible.
We do request that all shooters that enter these matches have the skills to keep every shot in the black as these matches will be shot on the electronic target system at UAF.
